Fatal and Serious Injury
The loss of a loved one is a devastating and traumatic experience, and often the last thing on your mind is financial matters. However if you have lost someone close to you, or if they have suffered a serious injury from an accident that was not their fault, you are entitled to compensation for any pain that they have suffered, any loss of earnings as a result, and any expenses that you may have incurred, such as medical bills and funeral costs.
The injury or fatality could have happened because of a number of different scenarios, including a road traffic accident, an incident in the work place, an accident on holiday, or through medical negligence. In cases of fatality you may also be entitled to the statutory award for bereavement, a lump sum damage payment made by the negligent party to a partner, spouse or parent of a child under 18.
At Geoffrey Leaver we understand that this is a very difficult time for you and as such we not only handle each case with sensitivity and compassion, we also make sure you receive the compensation that you are entitled to as a result of your loss. Whether you are a spouse, partner, child, brother, sister, parent or other family member, you may well be entitled to compensation. Speak to Geoffrey Leaver to find out how we can assist you through our legal and professional services to gain the compensation you are entitled to from a fatal or serious injury on a ‘no win-no fee’ basis.
